Today we are bringing you an amazing story that involves a car that is equally amazing.
After spending quite, a long time hidden in a barn, this incredibly rare 1967 Shelby Mustang is about to get out in the sun and will never again have to suffer sitting in a closed dusty barn.
The new owner purchased the vehicle for an amazing price of $65,000 and after the car had seen some water and the Iowa sun, a decision has been made to keep the original paint, no matter the rust spots.
Perk’s Auto Spa was given the incredibly difficult and important job to get this car in the best shape it can get in without actually getting a new coat of paint.
What Bob Perkins from Perk’s Auto Spa did for this paint, was nothing short of astonishing, and you will witness this in the video bellow.
As you would expect after all that time spent in the dusty barn the interior of the car has seen better days to say the least and these guys are about to take drastic measures in order to get the car back to its former glory.
There will be a lot of work done before the car is ready to hit the street, however instead of a full rebuild the new owner decided to keep things original as much as he could and once you take a look at the finished product, you will appreciate the way he decided to do things.
