Take a look at this, Rapid Transit System Plymouth ‘Cuda Uncovered after 45 years!
If you’re a fan of classic muscle cars, you won’t want to miss this incredible discovery. After sitting untouched in a garage for 45 years, the 1970 and 71 Rapid Transit System Caravan Cuda has been uncovered, and it’s a sight to behold.
With only 900 167 miles on the odometer, the car is in pristine condition. The paint is original and hasn’t been washed since 1976, giving it an authentic vintage feel. You can even see cat paw prints on the hood from the previous owner’s feline friend.
The car was bought in 1976 and never used, so it was put away and forgotten about until now. It still has the original rims and tires, and the missing Cragar from the front was found in the trunk, along with the original wheelie bars.
The interior is just as impressive as the exterior, with the leather seats in impeccable condition and the gauges and radio all original. Even the back seat looks as though it has never been sat in.
Under the hood, the car is a real six-pack 70 Cuda with a VIN number of five. The engine is untouched, with the correct stamping for the car’s VIN number. The electric motor that shook the Shaker at car shows is still present, although it no longer works.
Perhaps the most remarkable thing about this car is that it’s a time capsule. Everything from the paint to the engine is untouched, giving you a glimpse into what this car would have been like when it rolled off the factory floor in 1971.
Ryan Brunt, the “auto archaeologist” who uncovered this treasure, had the opportunity to speak with Chuck Miller, the original creator of the Rapid Transit System Cuda. Miller built the car in 1970 for the Rapid Transit Tour, which promoted Plymouth products across America.
If you’re a collector or just a fan of classic muscle cars, the discovery of this 1970 and 71 Rapid Transit System Caravan Cuda is truly something special. It’s a rare find that provides a glimpse into automotive history, and it’s a testament to the enduring appeal of these iconic vehicles.
