As the title has informed you by now, we once again have some bad news from the street racing world.
First of all, let us tell you that the driver did not sustain any major injuries and Bill Brown is feeling fine these days, except for the destroyed Turbo Nova.
The crash happened during the BSCR Cold War event which was held at an undisclosed location and as you would expect with such an event, the road was not disclosed either.
As street racing gained popularity so did the event that these guys have been racing in, and of course, the money involved grew. As a result, people have been risking more and more to win these events and unfortunately Bill Brown had done the same that night.
While he was clearly in front and the race was his to win, his car started pulling to the left, and since he was in the left lane he let it drift all the way to the curb.
Unfortunately, that is when disaster struck because as soon as the wheel hit the curb all hell broke loose as his car got airborne and hit the pole, luckily with the passenger side of the vehicle.
The impact was so powerful that the poll did not stand any chance and got snapped in half like a regular twig but lucky for Bill the roll cage was built properly and had saved his life.
While the cage did manage to save Bill’s life it crumpled so far back that he could not get out of the car and he had to wait for the first responders to do it, which was smart instead of yanking him out and potentially injuring him further.
